Automation practitioner & geodetic surveyor  ·  LinkedIn ↗  ·  hello@thecreatools.com

I build and maintain automated systems for a living — including the pipeline that powers this site. Every tool in this database was selected based on structured criteria: real pricing, documented features, and fit for the tasks mapped here.

I don't test every tool personally. What I do: define the research framework, verify outputs against official documentation, and decide what gets published.

By background I'm a geodetic surveyor who built automation systems to solve real operational problems — including the frustration of wading through sponsored reviews to find software that actually works in the field. thecreatools.com is the tool-discovery layer I wanted to exist.

What is thecreatools?

Most tool directories start with the tool. We start with the task. When you search for "how to schedule field workers", you usually get a generic review of a CRM that paid the most to rank on Google. It is a massive waste of time.

  • Task first: You pick what you want to do (a real goal), not a brand name.
  • Decision first: You get a short list, free vs paid context, and exact constraints.
  • Practical: Less theory, more “what to use and why”. Tools exist here only as answers to tasks.

How we pick and rank tools (The Engine)

I realized I could not fix the internet, but I could automate the research. We do not just list tools randomly. I built a custom Decision Engine powered by automation and AI models to analyze data points without human biases.

Our ranking engine calculates a Suitability Score for every tool and task pair based on 4 strict criteria:

  • 1. Native Support (Most important):
Does the tool solve the task natively? Workarounds and hacky solutions get a lower score.
  • 2. Verification Confidence:
Have we verified the workflow in the official documentation? Unverified claims are penalized.
  • 3. Ease of Use:
We prioritize tools that are simple and fast. Complex "developer only" tools rank lower for general tasks.
  • 4. Cost Efficiency:
We love free tools. However, a paid tool that works perfectly will rank higher than a free tool that is broken or difficult to use.

What about affiliate links?

We do use affiliate links to support the servers and algorithms behind this project. However, commissions never influence the Suitability Score. We do not take sponsorships. A tool cannot pay to be the #1 recommendation if it does not actually solve the task better than others.

Our promise: If a free tool is the best option for the task, we recommend the free tool. Period.

Pricing policy

Pricing changes. We try to make the “free vs paid” decision easier, not perfect.

  • We link to sources: Usually the official pricing page, when available.
  • We show freshness: “Last checked” is displayed on some tool pages.
  • We simplify: We focus on what matters for the task (minimum plan, free possibility).

Always confirm the current price on the vendor’s site before purchasing.

Editorial standards & AI disclosure

How content is created

Tool profiles and task guides on this site are generated using AI systems built and maintained by Rafał Woźniak, based on official documentation, pricing pages, and structured evaluation criteria. All content is reviewed before publication and updated when tool data changes.

How tools get into the catalogue

  • Tools are added when they solve a mapped task natively — not via workarounds.
  • Ranking is based on a Suitability Score: native support, verified documentation, ease of use, cost efficiency.
  • Affiliate relationships do not affect scores. A tool cannot pay to rank higher.

How often is data updated?

Tool data (pricing, features, integrations) is updated when changes are detected in official sources or flagged by readers. Guides are reviewed periodically. If you spot outdated information, email us.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up through them, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. See our full affiliate disclosure.
