How to do tasks with FieldEdge
Set up recurring cleaning appointments and client records in service management software
Paid required
- Click Scheduling / Calendar
Open the FieldEdge desktop web app and click Scheduling / Calendar to open the main dispatch calendar view used for booking jobs.
- Drag and drop jobs on Scheduling / Calendar
Create a new appointment by dragging an existing job or a customer entry onto the desired date/time slot on the calendar to place the first visit.
- Click Service agreement feature
From the customer or job screen, open the Service agreement feature (service agreement) to begin creating a recurring contract for the cleaning client.
- Select schedule visits and renewals in Service agreement feature
In the Service agreement feature, set the recurring frequency (for example weekly, biweekly, or monthly), add scheduled visit dates, and enable tracking of upcoming renewals.
- Enable automatic reminders in Service agreement feature
Within the same Service agreement settings, toggle or enable customer reminders so FieldEdge will automatically remind customers before contract renewal or upcoming visits.
- Create custom checklists
Open the custom checklists area from the job template or forms section and create the cleaning checklist items you want technicians to follow on each recurring visit.
- Use Auto assign
When the recurring jobs are scheduled, enable or use the auto assign option so FieldEdge assigns visits based on technician location and skills, or manually drag assignments on the calendar if preferred.
- Link invoice in Field Edge
If you accept payments, create the invoice in your payment flow (noted workflow: Clarant) and then link that invoice record in FieldEdge so payments and invoicing show on the customer's record.
- Open technician mobile app
Have the assigned technician open the FieldEdge mobile/technician app to confirm the recurring appointment appears in their job list and to access job history, photos, and the custom checklist on site.
