Jobber

Field service management for home service businesses.

Mobile Field Service Tools, Scheduling & Appointments, Invoicing & Billing

Best forUS-based small home-service business owner (1–10 employees) running recurring, service-call work (lawn care, cleaning, HVAC/plumbing maintenance, pest control). Persona: Owner/operator or operations manager who needs a mobile-first system, fast onboarding, professional estimates/invoicing, client self-service (Client Hub), and simple scheduling/route planning without heavy project-phase billing or complex inventory management.

Jobber centralizes scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and payments for home-service businesses so teams can spend less time on admin and more time on jobs. Mobile apps and client-facing tools (client hub, online booking) keep field crews and customers connected in real time.

Verdict

If you need an easy-to-adopt, mobile-first field service system that handles quoting → approvals → scheduling → on-site invoicing with a strong client portal and reliable offline mobile access, choose Jobber. However, if you prioritize enterprise-scale per-seat economics, advanced QuickBooks/Xero accounting automation without reconciliation work, multi-phase project invoicing/change orders, comprehensive inventory/equipment tracking, or enterprise-grade custom reporting and live fleet telematics, look elsewhere.

Pricing

Jobber lists four paid tiers — Core $29 / month, Connect $99 / month, Grow $149 / month, Plus $529 / month — and offers a 14-day free trial; pricing on the page is shown as annual prepaid options.

  3. Add Line items

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Intuitive, mobile-first app that field teams actually use
  • Reliable offline mode for field work (cache job details, complete forms, take photos while offline)
  • Integrated quote → approve → convert to job → invoice workflow (reduces data re-entry)
  • Scheduling, dispatch, and route optimization (map view, drag-and-drop calendar)
  • Client Hub (customer self-portal) with online booking and payment links
  • Payments and on-site collection (Tap to Pay, card reader, instant payouts)
  • Wide integrations marketplace (QuickBooks, Xero, Zapier, CompanyCam, FleetSharp, Mailchimp etc.)
  • Automations for reminders, invoice follow-ups, review requests and marketing add-ons
  • Fast onboarding and strong customer support (live chat/phone; premium support option)

Cons

  • Per-user pricing becomes expensive as teams scale (users billed per-seat can make costs steep for 10+ techs)
  • QuickBooks / accounting sync reliability issues (occasional dropped transactions, manual reconciliation required)
  • No native change order support and limited multi-invoice / multi-phase invoicing under a single job
  • Limited advanced reporting / analytics and lack of custom report building for deep financial/operational insights
  • Inventory, equipment/asset tracking and advanced project management are weak or absent
  • Some useful features are gated behind higher tiers or third‑party add-ons (can cause subscription stacking and extra cost)
  • Geofencing-based automatic clock-in/auto time geofence not natively present (requires workarounds / third-party)
  • Customer complaints about billing/refund policies (some users report difficulty getting refunds or accidental charges for added users)
